    With the recent Statement of Changes in the Immigration Rules, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) has tried to remedy the increased abuse of the Tier 1 Entrepreneur Scheme whereby it appears that funds were recycled in multiple applications.
  • Metropolitan University granted new licence

    International students will be permitted to enter the UK to study at London Metropolitan University from today.
  • Deposit now required for confirming premium service appointment
    09 April 2013
    As of 6 April 2013, a payment of £100 has been introduced for securing the premium service appointment. After you book a premium service appointment online you will need to then call the immigration enquiry bureau by 3pm on the next working day to pay £100 per applicant in order to confirm your appointment. Your appointment will be cancelled if you do not make the payment within this timescale.
  • New requirements for settlement and naturalisation

    From 28 October 2013, applicants in both categories will be required to pass the Life in the UK Test and to hold a B1 (intermediate) level English language speaking and listening qualification.
  • UKBA fees increase goes ahead

    The previously announced fee increase for visa applications made from overseas, and applications made in the UK, will take effect on 6 April 2013.

  • Important changes to the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent and the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur categories

    The application process for those wishing to obtain a Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa has been split into two. Applicants will initially apply for endorsement by a Designated Competent Body. Once their application is approved they will have three months to apply for entry clearance or leave to remain. From 6 April 2013 Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneurial will include additional places for talented MBA graduates from UK HEIs and to accommodate UK Trade and Investments elite global graduate entrepreneur scheme, which targets the brightest and best entrepreneurs from overseas HEIs.
  • New Life in the UK test introduced today!
    25 March 2013
    From today (25 March 2013) if you are taking the Life in the UK test you will have to answer questions based on the new handbook 'Life in the UK - A Guide for New Residents', which was published on 28 January 2013.
  • New rules for students, skilled workers and entrepreneurs
    22 March 2013
    PhD graduates can apply to stay in the UK for a further 12 months. Changes to the codes of practice for skilled workers will come into effect on 6 April 2013. Furthermore,UKBA now no longer accepts applications for further leave to remain in the UK as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) applicant submitted to its super premium service.
