    The UK Border Agency (UKBA) has published today a new Statement of Changes to amend the current Immigration Rules pertaining to applications made for leave to enter and remain under the Tier 1 Entrepreneur Scheme.

    A new version of Life in the UK test has been announced and will be implemented to tests booked on or after 25th March 2013. According to the Home Office, the new test aims to “focus on values and principles at the heart of being British” and ensure migrants are equipped with the knowledge to properly integrate into the society by putting more emphasises on the nation’s culture and history.

    Having received several enquiries by concerned students, we now wish to confirm that unfortunately, as of 13 December 2012, you will no longer be able to switch from your Tier 4 student status into the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Scheme unless you apply under the £50,000 funding route from a specified source (registered venture capitalist firms, UK Government Departments, Devolved Administration Departments or listed seed funding competitions).
