How can you find if your occupation is in the Shortage Occupation List?

If a migrant comes to the UK under Tier 2 (General) to perform a skilled work that is on the shortage occupation list, they will get all the points they need to apply (except the points for English language and maintenance)-they will not need to prove their prospective earnings or qualifications.
Also, the UK sponsor will not need to advertise the position on jobplus centers for at least 4 weeks. Below, you will find the link to check whether your occupation has been assigned to the list:
