Making a Tier 2 Priority application

The Home Office has set up a Tier 2 Priority (pilot) application service which aims to decide applications within 10 working days from receipt of an application.

If you would like to make a priority application, you should complete the 'Tier 2 priority request' sheet and send it to the Home Office. Once you have been notified of your acceptance into the pilot application service you should submit your application form and supporting documents within 24 hours. The Home Office will then ask you to enrol your biometric information within 2 days of your biometric notification letter.

If you are making any applications for your family members ('dependants') to stay in the UK at the same time as your own application you should send all the applications together in the same envelope.

Priority application fees:


Fee for all Tier 2 Priority applications except ICT under 12 months

Fee for ICT under 12 months (Tier 2 Priority)

Main applicant



Main applicant (if they are a national of Croatia, Turkey or FYR of Macedonia)



Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant)

£709 for each family member included on the main applicant's application form

£584 for each family member included on the main applicant's application form

Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later), or child aged over 18

£853 for each family member

£687 for each family member
