In the recent months an increased number of immigration practitioners have reported to the ILPA their concerns at the way in which EEA applications are being dealt with. In particular, concerns has been expressed in connection with delays in processing of applications as well as the higher number of applications being wrongly rejected as invalid at the initial stage. This matter has now been brought to the attention of the regional director in charge of EEA casework and it is currently under investigation.
