Addendum to the Tier 4 student guidance
On 12 July 2010 an addendum was added to the policy guidance for students applying under Tier 4 of the point-based system.
This addendum applies to students making applications using a loan letter and students making applications using an International Baccalaureate qualifications awarded on 5 July 2010.
Student loans
An amendment has been made to the criteria for students using a loan letter to show that they have enough money to meet the maintenance requirements for Tier 4. This change effects when loan funds must be made available to an applicant.
Students with International Baccalaureate qualifications
If you are relying on International Baccalaureate qualifications awarded on 5 July 2010 you will not receive your award certificates in time to apply for university courses starting in September this year and thus the UK Border Agency has made special arrangements to enable an IB student to apply under Tier 4.
If you have an enquiry relating to your immigration status or your ability to work in the UK, we can help you. Please contact us or call +44 20 3384 3075.
