China

Want to visit China but not sure which type of visa you will need; how to apply or even where to begin? At Migra & Co we are aware how confusing and frustrating all this can be so to help you understand a little better we’ve listed the most important points below

China Tourist (Visit) Visa

Before travelling to China, applicants must obtain a prior entry clearance. This is a mandatory requirement and applicants should note that they will be unable to apply at port of entry.

A China Tourist visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry with options for single, double or multiple entries. This visa is required for leisure visits or visiting family members only.

Fees

Embassy fees vary according to processing times and the type of visa required. Please note that applicants will also need to submit an application form accompanied by a declaration form which must be completed in black ink only.

Photo

The required photo must meet specific guidelines and have been taken within the six months leading up to an application. Applicants should also submit an original passport with at least two blank passport pages and which must be valid for six months beyond the expiry date of the visa.

China Business Visa

Business travellers to China will need to apply for a Business Visa which is valid for 90 days with a 30-day duration for each entry. Before applying for a single or double entry, applicants must be in possession of an official invitation letter from a Chinese sponsor company or government department. The letter must be very specific as it will need to meet mandatory requirements; however, a copy will be accepted in lieu of an original.
