New processing times for applications made in the UK

From 1 January 2014, the following applications made within the UK are subject to new processing time standards:

  • Applications for temporary leave to remain as a: Spouse; Worker; Tier 1 General / Entrepreneur; Student; Organisations sponsoring a worker – processing time 8 weeks (10 days priority post and same day premium).
  • Application submitted by employers in order to update and maintain their licence details – 18 weeks.
  • Applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain or Naturalisation as a British citizen; Turkish and Croatians nationals applying for study or work visa – 6 months.

 

Please note that if the application cannot be processed within the standard time, you will be informed of the delay and its reasons. Applications submitted to the UKBA before 1 January 2014 will be processed according to the standards in place before that date.
