New Two-year Visitor Visa for Chinese Nationals

A new two-year UK visit visa for Chinese nationals was launched by the Home Office on 11 January 2016. The new visa fee is £85, which is the same fee charged for a six-month entry visitor visa.

The new visa will allow Chinese visitors to:

· Make multiple trips to the UK for a longer period (more than 90 days);
· Enter the UK for a variety of purposes such as tourism, business, attend business conferences and investigate the options of setting up for a business or managing an investment in the UK.

In addition, the UKVI plans to provide a more flexible service for Chinese applicants by opening new biometric collection centres in at least 50 cities in China.

According to Home Office, this new visa will benefit both Chinese customers and the UK fostering economy growth.
