OVRO online portal goes “live”!

On 7 April 2021, the Overseas Visitors Records Office (OVRO) launched a new online registration portal.

Individuals will need to create an account via the official website: https://met.overseasregistrations.uk/Login?ReturnUrl=%2F. Migrants have to provide their personal details, contact details, family members, employment details, travel details, visa details, and additional information.

In addition, applicants will need to upload a UK passport sized photograph (45mm high x 35mm wide) and book an appointment by using the online calendar. There will be an appointment confirmation email to be sent to their email address once they have successfully booked an appointment and uploaded a photograph.

Please note that if you are already registered but have moved to another police force area, you will need to choose ‘Transfer’ link but NOT ‘New Registration’.

If you change the following information, you must report it within 7 days of the change by accessing your online account:

  • Change of address;
  • Change of college/university/course;
  • Change of occupation;
  • Change in marital status;
  • New landing conditions (re-entry visa);
  • New visa details (leave to remain visa);
  • New passport details.

For those who lose their police registration certificate (PRC), they will need to apply for a replacement certificate and a fee of £34 will be applied.
