Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme explained

The Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) is for sponsored young applicants from participating countries and territories who wish to experience life in the United Kingdom. This visa allows young people to live, work and travel in the UK for up to two years.

The requirements of the Tier 5 Youth Mobility visa application are:

  • You wish to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years;
  • Your age is between 18 to 30;
  • You have £1,890 cash funds in a bank account in your name;
  • You are a British Overseas Citizen, British Overseas Territories Citizen or British National (Overseas) or you are from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Monaco, Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

 

Please note that if you are a citizen of South Korea and Hong Kong, you are eligible to come to the UK under the Youth Mobility Scheme without deemed sponsorship status.
