23 Mar Visa decision waiting times outside the UK
Due to the large number of applications received under the Ukrainian Family Scheme, the Home Office has temporarily suspended ‘Priority’ and ‘Super Priority’ visa services for new study, work and family visa applications submitted outside the UK.
Please note that Standard Visitor visas are currently taking an average 6 weeks to process. Previously, processing time would normally take 3 weeks.
In addition, the waiting time starts when the individual either:
- Attends their appointment and provide their fingerprints and a photograph (biometric information) at a visa application centre;
- Verifies your identity using the UK Immigration: ID Check app. This will depend on the visa they apply for and they will be advised if they can use this.
