Although the government has\u00a0set maximum levels\u00a0of fees that can be charged by the Home Office over the next four years,\u00a0there are no plans\u00a0to increase\u00a0the fees to maximum levels, the objective is to\u00a0reduce taxpayer contributions towards the border, immigration and citizenship system and ensure that by 2019\u20132020 the system is self funded by those who use it.<\/p>\n<p>The main changes are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Same day processing services (in country)\u00a0will increase by 25% &#8211; from the current \u00a3400 to \u00a3500<\/li>\n<li>Priority postal processing services\u00a0(in country)\u00a0will increase by 25%,\u00a0from the current \u00a3300 to \u00a3375<\/li>\n<li>Fees for settlement application will increase by 25%,\u00a0the fees will rise from \u00a31,500 to \u00a31,875 for each applicant.<\/li>\n<li>Fees for nationality application\u00a0will increase by 25%,\u00a0the fees will rise from \u00a31,005\u00a0to \u00a31,156 for each applicant.<\/li>\n<li>Small increases (2%) for visit, study and work visas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The fees\u00a0for all sponsorship categories will stay at the current rates.This further\u00a0indicates\u00a0that the government intends to\u00a0reduce\u00a0the family\u00a0migration, rather than\u00a0business\u00a0migration.<\/p>\n<p>We would strongly suggest any applicant who can meet the requirements to submit their application before 6 April 2016 to avoid additional cost.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any other enquiries, please contact us for professional legal advice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Home Office\u00a0announced\u00a0its proposed changes to the Immigration fees\u00a0from 6 April 2016, some of the fees may increase by 25%.
