{"id":1170,"date":"2015-10-30T12:51:50","date_gmt":"2015-10-30T01:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/migraco.metpixel.com\/?p=1170"},"modified":"2018-10-13T16:57:46","modified_gmt":"2018-10-13T05:57:46","slug":"ukvi-introduces-new-statement-of-changes-to-the-immigration-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/ukvi-introduces-new-statement-of-changes-to-the-immigration-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"UKVI introduces new Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 29 October 2015, the UK Government announced few changes to the Immigration Rules affecting the following categories: Asylum, Settlement, Family\/private life, Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Representative of an Overseas Business as well as the Tier 2\u00a0and Tier 5 Schemes.<\/p>\n<p>These new changes, which will be implemented on or after 19 November 2015 are:<\/p>\n<p>Asylum:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asylum claims from EU nationals will no longer be admissible;<\/li>\n<li>The Home Office has now clarified the circumstances which might lead to a withdrawal of a migrant\u2019s refugee status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Settlement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transitional arrangements for the English language requirement will be removed and as a result, Indefinite Leave to Remain and Nationality applications can only be supported by a Secure English Language Test listed under Appendix O;<\/li>\n<li>From 6 April 2016, Tier 2 migrants who wish to settle in the UK should have a salary threshold of at least \u00a335,000 (except for migrants whose jobs are listed in the shortage occupation list. The good news is that nurses have now been added to the list).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Family\/private life:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A child\u2019s entry clearance application might be refused if the Secretary of States\u00a0\u00a0were to believe that the sponsor might pose a risk to the child\u2019s safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Tech City UK endorsement criteria have been published to target applicants who might strengthen the digital sector in the UK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other changes:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The UKVI will provide further guidance in terms of the required documents to be provided by Tier 1 Entrepreneur as evidence of their \u00a3200K investment in the form of share capital or a director\u2019s loan;<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A Representative of an Overseas Business will no longer be assessed in terms of reading and writing\u00a0to meet the English language requirement set at level A1 of CEFR.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Tier 2 shortage occupation list has been updated;<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0New requirements for charity workers;<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The annual allocation of possible places under the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme has been increased;<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Changes to the list of government authorised exchange schemes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you are concerned about the matters discussed above and would like to review your immigration options, please email us at\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\">info@migraco.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 29 October 2015, the UK Government announced few changes to the Immigration Rules affecting the following categories: Asylum, Settlement, Family\/private life, Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Representative of an Overseas Business as well as the Tier 2\u00a0and Tier 5 Schemes.
