A new agreement was reached between the UK and Honk Kong governments in order to allow young HK SAR passport holders between the age of 18 and 30 to come for work or study to the UK for a period of 2 years under the Tier 5 visa – Youth Mobility Scheme. The program operates on a mutual basis, therefore, young Britons willing to experience Hong Kong\u2019s life may benefit from the scheme.<\/p>\n
Every year 1,000 young people will be able to apply for this visa. Prior to submission of the application for the Youth Mobility scheme, the HK SAR passport holders must register for a Certificate of Sponsorship (Cos) issued for this effect by the Hong Kong Labour Department. The program starts operating in early 2014.<\/p>\n
At present only a small number of countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Taiwan and newly joined Hong Kong make part of the Youth Mobility scheme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
