{"id":2495,"date":"2019-01-31T11:23:53","date_gmt":"2019-01-31T11:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/?p=2495"},"modified":"2019-01-31T11:23:53","modified_gmt":"2019-01-31T11:23:53","slug":"what-type-of-visa-should-you-apply-if-you-are-in-a-relationship-with-an-irish-citizen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/what-type-of-visa-should-you-apply-if-you-are-in-a-relationship-with-an-irish-citizen\/","title":{"rendered":"What type of visa should you apply if you are in a relationship with an Irish citizen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Irish citizens are in the enviable position of being able to apply under the Immigration EEA Regulations 2016 or if they wish they can also submit an application pursuant to the \u00a0Immigration Rules as they are considered \u2018settled\u2019 in the UK from their date of entry in the country.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, if an Irish citizen is in a relationship with a non-EEA national, their family members could apply for an EEA family permit, and significantly, they do not need to pay the application fees and immigration health surcharge (IHS) for this application.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the fianc\u00e9 (e) of an Irish citizen could also apply for a fianc\u00e9 (e) visa to enter the UK under Appendix FM.
