{"id":4101,"date":"2020-08-26T16:44:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T15:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/?p=4101"},"modified":"2020-08-26T16:47:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-26T15:47:44","slug":"the-new-ukvcas-identity-verification-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/the-new-ukvcas-identity-verification-app\/","title":{"rendered":"The new UKVCAS Identity Verification app"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In August 2020, the UKVCAS developed a new Identity Verification (IDV) app, which was then approved by the UKVI and rolled-out on 17 August 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The IDV app allows applicants who are eligible for UKVI\u2019s biometric reuse policy (fingerprints and photographs that have been recorded in a previous application) to submit their application information to the UKVI without having to book an appointment at UKVCAS.<\/p>\n<p>The UKVCAS is sending out emails to invite migrants to use the IDV app in phases as of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By 7 September 2020 for IDV applicants who have registered with UKVI and UKVCAS up to 31 July 2020;<\/li>\n<li>By 14 September 2020 for IDV individuals who registered with UKVI and UKVCAS in August 2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please note if your application submitted on or after 15 August 2020, you won\u2019t be able to book an appointment at the moment. For those who applied between 1 \u2013 14 August 2020, UKVCAS will be sending them an email to outline next steps. Migrants will then know if they are eligible to use the IDV app or whether they need to book a UKVCAS appointment.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to know more about the steps of how to submit biometrics on IDV app, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0203 384 3075.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More service points opened<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UKVCAS is continuing to open up more service points. 11 library locations are now offering UKVCAS appointments. These include: Bournemouth, Cardiff, Edmonton Green, Enfield, Hull, Ipswich, Manchester, Newcastle, Reading, Swindon and Taunton.
