The new system will treat EU nationals and non-EU nationals equally.<\/p>\n<p>On 10 September 2020, the Home Office announced that the Tier 4 (General) and Tier 4 (Child) student routes will be replaced by the Student and Child route, it will open for applications on 5 October 2020.<\/p>\n<p>From 5 October 2020, all prospective international students (including EU nationals) wishing to study in the UK once the transition period comes to an end, will need to apply for a Student visa before travelling to the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In order to apply for a Student visa, migrants will need to score 70 points, as shown in the table below. Applicants can apply up to 6 months before their course starts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/13.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/13.png 690w, https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/13-300x101.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/>(source: Home Office)<\/p>\n<p>Applicants under the age of 18 will need to provide additional evidence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consent from a parent or legal guardian to study in the UK;<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of suitable care arrangements in the UK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants will need to pay the UKVI fees in the amount of \u00a3348, the same fee applies to dependants.
