{"id":4405,"date":"2021-04-21T10:05:39","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T09:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/?p=4405"},"modified":"2021-04-21T10:05:39","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T09:05:39","slug":"right-to-work-check-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.migraco.com\/en\/right-to-work-check-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Right to work check &#8211; update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 20 April 2021, the Home Office updated its policy on the Right to Work Scheme COVID-19 Adjusted Checks.<\/p>\n<p>From 17 May 2021, employers must check migrants\u2019 right to work in the UK by following the employer\u2019s guidance:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/969123\/An_employer_s_guide_to_right_to_work_checks.pdf\">https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/969123\/An_employer_s_guide_to_right_to_work_checks.pdf<\/a>. Employers have to check individuals\u2019 original documents, please note that a scanned copy or a photo of original documents will no longer be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, organisations can use the Home Office online right to work via the official website: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/view-right-to-work\">https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/view-right-to-work<\/a>. Employers will need to provide the prospective job applicant\u2019s date of birth and the right to work share code to check. In addition, organisations can carry out a check via video call by using this service, however, the employer must obtain the employee\u2019s permission to view their details in the form of a share code.<\/p>\n<p>Employers can use the right to work service under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) or the Points-Based System (PBS).
