On 4 August 2022, the Home Office withdrew the police registration guidance. This means that migrants are no longer required to register with the police as overseas visitors.<\/p>\n

For those who have already booked appointment with the police station\/OVRO, there is no need to attend the appointment and they do not need to pay for the police registration certificate.<\/p>\n

However, for those who have paid for the registration fees, will not be refunded.<\/p>\n

In addition, there is no need for individuals to keep their police registration certificate.<\/p>\n

Migrants who are already registered with the police and were asked to register again to enter or remain in the UK, will not need to do so.<\/p>\n

To be noted that as of now, individuals will no longer need to notify the police of any changes to their circumstances.<\/p>\n

Moreover, if migrants were issued with an Entry Clearance (EC) with the requirement to register, but are yet to travel to the UK, they will either be reissued with a new visa or notified in advance of their travel.<\/p>\n

Although individuals are no longer required to register with the police as overseas visitor, they should update their details online: https:\/\/visa-address-update.service.gov.uk\/<\/a>. For instance, they have moved to a new home address etc.<\/p>\n
